The first time I laid my eyes on you.

The First Time

The thought of you came in as I was walking through the bay. The sunset made me wonder how you’ve been so far, since the first time I laid my eyes on you that Sunday.

I remember how you wore that white shirt,
And how you utterly looked good in it.

I remember how you are in those faded jeans,
And how you undeniably looked astonishing on them.

I remember how the sky shook when I looked upon your face,
And how goddamn I knew,

that it was going to be you.

The first time I laid my eyes on you, they treated you like an artwork. My love, if I am to face thousands of work by prominent artists, these eyes would still search for you.
My eyes will always look for your existence, because you are a masterpiece, indeed, the only masterpiece in this world for me.

The first time I laid my eyes on you, my arms urged to hold you. I will never forget that sweet nostalgic feeling that you gave; how they begged to get a grip of you. How you made them feel the longing of something good that they never had. These arms will pull you close even in the darkest of the night but, this, I promise you, my love – they will never let go when the morning comes. I vow to never let you drift away when there are bumps in the road.

The first time I laid my eyes on you, my ears begged the heavens to hear your voice. They wanted to hear about your favourite book, the stories about your mother, and how you are chasing your dreams. Let’s lay under the stars and talk about them. Narrate how you cried when she broke your heart and I will mend it. Speak about the pain and I will ease it. Tell me because these ears are willing to bleed just to listen. Just tell me, love.

I felt cotton candies and unicorns inside me, the first time after a long run. Baby, you made my life a colorful galaxy.

For the first time, Monday mornings are something I look forward to.

For the first time, I left my zone of comfort.

For the first time, rainy days are no longer gloomy.

For the first time, the taste of my black coffee turned sweet.

For the first time, I threw all of my doubts and fears away.

You became my do or die.

And for the first time, my heart was ready to jump off the cliff.
